A message from the CSsR Rector & Parish Priest at St Mary’s SW4

John 20:19

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews,

Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, "Peace be with you”.

This Sunday is traditional called Low Sunday or by others Divine Mercy Sunday.

Today the Lord comes into our hearts and our homes and says - Peace be with you!

My prayer for you all is that you will experience this deep peace and welcome it into your lives.

Remember when Jesus said this to the disciples, he was not speaking to a group of level headed calm people,

but rather to a group of frightened and confused men.

At this time there is much to frighten and confuse us, nonetheless, we remember that Jesus stands with us and says to us - Peace be with you. Remember the church has survived much in her years; we should draw comfort from that and courage.

Please remember all the people in the parish who are sick at this time…

Please remember and pray for all who have died and who are being buried/cremated these days.

Mr Kwabena Collins Turkson,

Mrs Yukiko Ferreira,

Ms Inez Plummer,

Mr Alvin Chua

and

Mr Barry McCarthy

Please also keep their families and their loved ones in your prayers.

However and whosoever you are spending this time with, know that you are always united with the parish,

so join your prayers with ours - and you will never be on your own!
